Spanish is the native language of a vast number of countries. And according to Wikipedia, the United States is home to the second largest number of native Spanish speakers. One could therefore make the case that Spanish is as much a global language as English. Here at MoraffWare, we want to add a highly robust Spanish department to Language Quotient. We ourselves intend to use this program to learn Spanish, as we believe that Spanish is essential to anyone who aspires to learn all the greatest world languages.
We hope that you can be the person to be admired for making this possible. Your support of the Spanish Department in this program will on the one hand provide a great tool for hundreds of millions of Spanish speakers to study other languages. On the other hand, you allow us to provide a great way for the rest of the world to learn and show respect for the vast Spanish and Hispanic world!
Language Quotient uses effective and entertaining methods to teach languages. Some of the methods already in use are games, music, and flashcards. Each module is implemented with a colorful and attractive interface, and this is just version 1! This first release uses more than 1000 words in a variety of contexts, building a vocabulary adequate to engage in basic conversation. With your help, we and our customers will thank you for bringing this program to us all.
Language Quotient presents both the interface and the studied “words and phrases” in two languages. As learning progresses, the user’s native language can be hidden, allowing full immersion study. When a Chinese person studies Spanish, for example, every part of the interface is displayed in Spanish and Chinese. Chinese can be dropped as the user begins to read and understand Spanish.
Additional modules provide learning through multimedia such as dialogs, videos, and music. We have developed world’s best multilingual media player, allowing more than one subtitle language at a time. This system allows boxing of word-for-word translation, allowing intensive and accurate study. Users can click words or phrases during media to replay or repeat. In this way a user can listen to pleasant Spanish music while soaking up the Spanish language. Since Spanish is the language of so many countries, this system can take advantage of the vast talent of Spanish musicians!
As the Founding Advocate for Spanish, you may assist us in obtaining permission from Spanish recording artists to include their songs in Language Quotient. If you are a musician, you may choose to provide your own music for the world to use to learn Spanish.
If you help fund our work, you will be credited with a great contribution to the study of Spanish. We have already borne the huge expense of creating the first major release of Language Quotient, which teaches English and Chinese. Your contribution will bring English and Chinese, and soon many other languages to all Spanish speaking people. In addition, you will provide the opportunity for speakers of all of our other current and future to learn Spanish. We sincerely hope that you, or someone you know, is the right person or group to take on this important responsibility. This will be a great gift from you to native Spanish speakers and students of the Spanish language around the world!
In addition to implementing many new languages, Language Quotient is slated for massive expansion. We are adding additional words and phrases, as well as more advanced games. New modules will help intermediate and advanced users develop their ability to read and communicate. Your continuing participation and support can help us to continue to expand and improve the Spanish Department. One area we would like to add a lot of special work would be to provide variation alternatives that change the Spanish text between various popular styles of Spanish. For example, our Chinese Department switches freely between traditional and simplified text. Our Spanish Department could offer Mexican Spanish, Castilian Spanish, or other variations. This could be an important area for the Founding Advocate to offer guidance.
At MoraffWare we emphasize efficiency, accuracy, and breadth in language study. We want users to learn languages faster and more accurately. In fact, language learning has to be fast, accurate, and fun, or it will usually be unsuccessful. Our mission is to help millions of people successfully learn Spanish and to help millions of Spanish speakers successfully learn English, Chinese, and many other languages.
The Founding Advocate for the Spanish language is the person who contributes funds and advice that help us produce the world’s finest Spanish language program. There can be only one person to take this role, so you must be someone who takes deep pride in Spanish language and culture.
